With the upcoming detective title L.A. Noire, Rockstar has taken facial animation to a new level. Seems a key element in the game is reading character’s faces and discern whether or not they are lying to you. No, really! The impressive tech vid below lays out the how.

This winner of “Best Animation” from the Star Wars Fan Film Movie Challenge was screened at the Star Wars Celebration V in circular polarized 3D. It’s been converted to anaglyph, so you’ll need your old school 3D glasses to view it correctly. I really need to pick up a new pair, my old Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 3D glasses are looking a bit tattered. Don’t have red/cyan anaglyph glasses? Order yourself a free pair from here.
